Cordial Visit to the Our Lady of Victories Church of the Society of St. Pius X

Group photo after a cordial visit October 18, 2014 to the Our Lady of Victories Church of the Society of St. Pius X. In the picture are Mr. Robertson Poblete (President CFD Manila), Fr. Thomas Onoda, Fr. Carlos Reyes (CBCP-ECID & MEIFA), Fr. Allan Nely (Assistant to the Superior General of the Society), Fr. Emerson Salvador, Fr. Michael Fortin, Bro. Andre Demafelis, Bro. Hyacinth Pereño.

Fr. Nely was present in the September 23, 2014 meeting between Bishop Fellay and Cardinal Muller.

We also learned that Bishop Williamson is no longer with the Society. Although our relations with the Society do not fall under the competence of CBCP-ECID, I believe that reaching out to the Society falls under my obligation as a Catholic priest. Some canonical issues were taken up during the meeting. I will refer those matters to CBCP President Abp. Socrates Villegas and Cardinal Orlando Quevedo, head of the CBCP Doctrine of the Faith.

- Fr. Carlos Reyes

It is surprising how things can change in the Traditional Catholic movement from year to year, or even from day to day! When Fr Nely visited Mumbai after the publication of the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum, he was taken ( unannounced and uninvited ), by Frs Chazal and Pfeiffer, to the parish priest of the church in the neighbourhood of the SSPX chapel in that city as well as to the Diocesan seminary. These visits were surreptitiously photographed by Fr Chazal. One of the faithful in the city ( based on what was being murmured among the SSPX group) reported to the Traditio website that the Society was pedalling the Motu Proprio SM to the Novus Ordo crowd. Fr Chazal went after this faithful and declared that he would not be given the sacraments until a public apology was forthcoming.

I believe this is the person that Fr. Chazal apologized about after he spoke out against the liberal direction of the SSPX leadership. Father admitted that he was wrong.

Who is Fr. Carlos Reyes in the (above) picture on the third from the left, sitting in the prominent position next to Fr. Allan Nely, Second Assistant to the Superior General of the SSPX?

This is all under the recent directive from Menzingen, "SSPX Memo" October 2, 2014:
(...)

- Rome asks, as part of these discussions, meetings between members of the Society and bishops, which will take place in an informal manner: the choice of location and interlocutors being left to our initiative.

ACTUAL SSPX Memo
The n-sspx continues on the yellow brick road into Vatican II...ecumenical style!

Looked on the Asia District website but couldn't find the relevant part of the report. Looks like it has been edited out.
